Top Swing Timber Windows The top swing fully reversible window was the first window with a true fully reversible sash allowing the window to be cleaned from inside without disturbing curtains, blinds or anything on the window cill. The window is simple to operate with a single handle operation and has as standard a four position operating mechanism giving, a fully locked position, a ventilation position, a child restrictor and a locking position to allow safe cleaning of the window. The window will give full weather protection in the worst of conditions – the harder the wind blows the tighter the sash is held to the seal. Unless specifically requested all laminated pine will also be finger jointed to reduce the incidence of knots and all timber used in manufacture will not exceed 12% moisture content. Available also in hardwoods including laminated larch, mahogany and oak. Finishes & Colours All products are offered with a factory finish - either stain or paint finish to choice. Option to have different colour inside and outside. A full range of RAL colours is available with the paint finishes. Factory finish guarantees excellent protection and penetration into end grains. Factory finish assures better bonding between wood and stain/paint research shows bonding is up to 30% better being carried out in controlled environment. Aluminium cladding is available powder coated in white as standard. A full range of RAL colours is also available.
Glazing
Standard glazing is double glazed units with low-energy glass (u value=1.4) Alternative glazing options are available to give increased insulation, high security, solar control or sound insulation. Toughened glazing will be fitted as specified to comply with all Building Regulations. Further information on glazing is available in our specification section.
Options A full range of opening and fixed light options are available. Windows can be supplied as one unit with multiple openings, combinations of fixed lights with opening lights and various combinations with transom rails and mullions. This maximises the glass sizes and reduces fitting time. All windows are manufactured to client’s sizes. Fof further variations please refer to our specification section. Locking Systems Windows all fitted with high security espagnolette locking system with single lockable handle operation. All hinges manufactured from electroplated steel for rust proofing. Hinge system allows for a night vent position as well as a child safety restrictor. Hinge also allows for windows to be locked in reverse position for cleaning purpose.

Locking or non-locking handles are available in brass, brown, white or satin anodised aluminium. Vents and Hinges Vents available in brown, white or aluminium. Hinges are available natural, brown, white or any RAL colour.

Environmental Policy All timber used in the construction process comes from sustainable, well managed forests. Products made from timber are 100% recyclable. The total amount of energy used in the manufacture of a timber window is approximately 1/5th of the energy used to make a plastic (PVC) window. Manufacturing processes designed to ensure no surplus materials leave the factory. Materials used to protect products during transit are recyclable wherever possible.
