Sliding Doors are available in a range of sizes and are generally supplied fully glazed. Due to the design of the frames sliding doors cannot be supplied with low-entry thresholds suitable for disabled access. Broxwood sliding doors have the sliding sash as the outer sash together with a patented sliding mechanism to give better security and protection against inclement weather. Sliding Doors are available in a range of sizes and can offer Materials Manufactured from preservative treated laminated red pine. Unless specifically requested all laminated pine will also be finger jointed to reduce the incidence of knots and all timber used in manufacture will not exceed 12% moisture content. Available also in hardwoods including laminated larch, mahogany and oak. Finishes & Colours All products are offered with a factory finish. Finish can be either stain or paint finish to choice. A full range of RAL colours is available with the paint finishes. Option available for different colour inside and out. Factory finish guarantees excellent protection and penetration into end grains. Factory finish assures better bonding between wood and stain/paint research shows bonding is up to 30% better being carried out in controlled environment. Aluminium cladding is available powder coated in white as standard. A full range of RAL colours is also available.
Glazing Standard glazing is double sealed glass units using toughened/laminated glass inside and out and with low-energy glass (minimum u value=1.4) Alternative glazing options are available to give increased insulation, high security, solar control or sound insulation. Please note that some, larger sliding door designs may be supplied unglazed. Options A number of options are available including sidelights manufactured as part of the door. Door opening can comprise 2, 3 or 4 panel sets with either single, end or centre sliding sections depending on the style required. Various glazing options are also available. Locking Systems Sliding doors available with locking cylinder either outside or inside or both sides. Sliding doors come with four point espagnolette locking system and three interlocking points with the dead leaf a total of 7 locking points.
Sliding doors are fitted with a patented slide and close system and lockable ventilation position.

Environmental Policy All timber used in the construction process comes from sustainable, well managed forests. Products made from timber are 100% recyclable. The total amount of energy used in the manufacture of a timber window is approximately 1/5th of the energy used to make a plastic (PVC) window. Manufacturing processes designed to ensure no surplus materials leave the factory. Materials used to protect products during transit are recyclable wherever possible.
