Siblings Stay on Slalom of Success

Young sporting whiz kid, Fraser Buchan continues to triumph during the 2007-8 ski season.

Recognising Fraser’s clear talent, Broxwood elected to support the youngster in his efforts to reach the top by presenting him with two pairs of top-of-the-range Atomic racing skis in December last year.

Now, with the Bairn's Race title for Cairngorm on 8 March 2008 firmly under his belt, ten-year old Fraser from Perth has gone on to take first place in the Bairn’s Bucket competition. He also won the Laddie’s Cup as well as the coveted title of fastest skier overall on 15 March 2008.

With two very successful meets to his name, Fraser is to be awarded the Norwegian Cup at a Cairngorm prize giving ceremony in April.

Not to be outdone, younger brother Scott recently succeeded in winning the ‘Hazel Bain Memorial Cup’ and came second in his category at Lecht Bairns. The brothers were also delighted to win the Muckhart Club Trophy.

Hungry for more, Fraser is now gearing up for his trip to Mottaret in Meribel, France for two weeks’ training before taking part in the British Land Championships at the beginning of April 2008.

Broxwood MD, Olav Skretteberg, said: “Both Fraser and Scott are doing extremely well this season. The Broxwood team is delighted to hear of their continued achievement. We congratulate the boys and wish them well in the quest for British success.”
