| Corporate "T-Off!" for Charity |

Perth-based timber windows company Broxwood has assisted two key Scottish charities, Tourette Scotland and The Dystonia Society, to help raise awareness and over £1500 via a Charity Golf Event held at Craigie Hill Golf Club starting on Friday,21st of August 2009. Broxwood have supported Tourette Scotland and The Dystonia Society for a number of years and this was the fourth annual “T-Off!” event to help promote the crucial services provided by these two charities. Supported by Craigie Hill Golf Club, the event saw teams from a wide range of companies from throughout the UK taking part including Clark Thomson and Biggart Baillie. Strong local support continued this year with teams from Strathmore Volvo, Bannerman Decorators, Morris & Young all taking part. Tourette Scotland and the Dystonia Society are important support groups for people living with these conditions, offering an important source of information, advice and practical help to sufferers and their families. They also help to raise awareness and offer training to professionals, the media and the general public.
Janice Mylan, who runs the Perth-based charity Tourette Scotland, said: “The “T Off” golf event is a great way of helping us raise awareness and funds for our organisation. We are extremely grateful to Broxwood and Craigie Hill Golf Club and send our sincere thanks to all those companies who took part for their much welcome support.” |


Broxwood Managing Director, Olav Skretteberg, explains, “Although the cause is a serious one, this annual golf event is a lot of fun. Craigie Hill Golf Club is very supportive and ensures a quality experience for all. Teams of all abilities come forward to take part in a healthy game of golf and enjoy a spot of socialising over a bite to eat and awards ceremony. Most importantly though we are helping to support two vital agencies which aim to make life better for all those Scottish children and adults who live with Tourettes and Dystonia.”
