How do I measure for new windows and doors?

Measuring for new windows and doors should be carried out by an expert but measuring up for the purpose of an estimate is easy, find out here.

Do you come and measure the doors/windows?

The person who will be installing the doors/windows is the best person to measure them. For initial quoting purposes a rough measure is all that is required.

What product finish is available?

Broxwood products come with the highest standard of factory finish in any RAL paint colour or standard stain colour. Different colours can be selected for inside and outside the window.

What is the U-Value of a window?

The U-value or “overall heat transfer coefficient” shows how well a building product conducts heat. In other words, the U-value represents the rate of heat transfer through a building element, such as a wall, floor or window, over a given area and under agreed standard conditions.

For ease of understanding the larger the U-value number the greater the product’s heat loss. Broxwood windows and doors range in U-value from 1.4 to 0.6. See how different U-values convert to saving money on your heating bills.
